Cross-cultural activities and enjoyment of the nature at Tasmania, Australia - 12th to 20th August 2012

To expose children to diverse environment as well as the environmental endeavours of environmental-friendly country, AEON Malaysia Cheers Club had selected two Malaysian primary school students to visit Tasmania, Australia. Together with 15 Junior High School students from Japan, two lucky Malaysian participants set off their journey to Australia for 8 days from 12th to 20th August 2012.

Places visited:

  • Brickendon (one of the world heritage)
  • AEON Tasmania Feedlot
  • Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (the place where live the animals like koalas, Tasmanian Devil, Wallabies and Wombat)
  • Wool Center (the place where the wools are processed)
  • National Park Cradle Mountain (the forest where there are various plants)
  • Cheese Factory
  • Queechy High School (the place where one can learn Japanese Calligraphy, make chocolate cake with topping. There is competition to build the strongest bridge as well)
  • Opera House and Mrs. Macquaries Chair, Sydney
  • National Park Blue Mountain
